Why we ask

It changes almost nothing about the shortlist, and we ask it first because it changes how the rest of this reads. Someone arranging care for a parent is usually deciding under time pressure; someone arranging it for themselves usually is not.

A shortlist of licensed homes, each with the reason it is on it and a link to its state license record.

Seeing it costs nothing and asks for nothing — no email address, no phone number, and no facility is told you looked. You can save the list by email afterwards if you want it, but that is a choice made after the results, never a condition of seeing them.
