Costs here are among the highest in the country, and most facilities don’t publish their rates. Every figure on this page is cited, and where we don’t have a sourced number we say so rather than estimating.

We’re still sourcing local median costs we can stand behind and cite. Rather than show you a national average dressed up as a local one, or a range we can’t attribute, this page is empty until we have real figures for Santa Clara County.
In the meantime: ask each facility directly. Most will quote a rate on the phone, and a few publish theirs.
Who pays for this
In California, assisted living and board-and-care are generally paid privately — Medicare does not cover them. Medi-Cal covers some costs in limited circumstances, and long-term care insurance or VA benefits may apply.
